Bright Pebbles - Book Launch
To celebrate the richness and variety of Shetland dialect, Bright Pebbles brings together the words, experience and insight of fifty writers in dialect and in English.
Amply illustrated with artwork and photographs, the book is also accompanied by a CD, upon which is a selection of the best poems, in a rich mixture of contrasting Shetland voices, with songs and music from award-winning musicians all combining to make a wonderful listen.
The launch will include readings from the book, music and light refreshments.
The book will be available for sale at the launch itself and also from Shetland Museum and Archives and The Shetland Times Bookshop.
