Welcome to the website of the 2010 Shetland Hamefarin
In 2010, Shetland will host a 'Hamefarin' (homecoming), welcoming Shetlanders from all around the world back to their home islands.
These pages have been prepared to show you the holiday that you can expect when you visit us in the summer of 2010 to celebrate 50 year of Hamefarin festivals. Information is provided on a variety of activities and places of interest. There are also many links to other Shetland sites that can assist you to plan your trip to Shetland. A very important part of the site allows you to register your interest in Hamefarin 2010. Please take our survey, which gives you the opportunity to tell us what you would like to do while you are here. This information will help us to prepare a festival that you can enjoy to the full.
