Shetland Geotours

Shetland Geotours offer guided tours or walks with an emphasis on the diverse geology, landscapes and archaeology of Shetland as well as giving you the chance of close encounters with some wonderful wildlife.  Daily tours for groups and individuals will be available during the Hamefarin and throughout the summer.  

Shetland Heritage Association

A fantasic new website highlighting the unique network of voluntary groups which has become established throughout Shetland.  Some 36 member organisations comprises of local history groups, independent museums and heritage centres and specialist interest groups, such as textiles, crofting, dialect, storytelling, family history and the Norwegian connection.

The Tall Ships Races 2011 Lerwick

Lerwick looks forward to welcoming the fleet of The Tall Ships Races in July 2011. Shetland is world renowned for its hospitality, its excellent music and its maritime heritage, making Lerwick a first-class port for The Tall Ships Races. Over four days from 21 to 24  July 2011, crews, locals and visitors will have the opportunity to sample the best of Shetland’s culture within the intimate setting of Lerwick harbour.
